Marketplace Operations in Canada and the US
Zeluxa’s marketplace operations service helps international brands set up and run their sales on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Etsy, Faire, Shopify stores and more in Canada and the United States. We list your brand and products, advise on the structure behind your store and give local support when needed, so you can sell in North America without building a local team.
Selling locally without being local
A strategy only creates revenue once products are live, priced correctly and reaching customers. For many exporters, the hardest part of North American e-commerce is not the product. It is the structure around it.
Which legal entity sells? Who acts as Importer of Record? Which tariff classification applies, and who pays the duty? We help you answer these questions before launch, not after the first unexpected invoice.
Marketplaces and channels we work with
- Amazon (Amazon.ca and Amazon.com)
- Walmart Marketplace
- eBay
- Etsy
- Faire
- Shopify stores
- And more: tell us which channel you have in mind.
What we set up and support
Our Operational Market Presence practice covers:
- Online sales platform setup: marketplace accounts and online stores.
- Brand and product listings: listing your brand and products on each platform, and optimising titles, descriptions and images, in particular as part of an advertising or management contract on Amazon or other platforms.
- Operational structure: advice on how selling, shipping, customs and payments fit together for your business.
- Fulfilment advice: whether to ship parcel by parcel or send stock in bulk to a third-party warehouse or to Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA). Our role here is mainly advisory.
- Local support when needed: limited local tasks, such as customs matters, carried out by Zeluxa’s in-house team. More hands-on services can be arranged on request.
- Ongoing store management: for online stores, after launch, for a monthly fee.
Four questions to answer before you launch
- Will you sell through a North American company or through your foreign company?
- Who will be the Importer of Record?
- Which tariff category applies to your products?
- Will you pass duty costs on to customers, or absorb them in your margin?
Clear answers to these four questions protect your margin from day one. If you are not sure the market is right yet, start with a Market Intelligence Report or a wider Market Entry Consulting project.
Experience from our own operations
Zeluxa does not only advise on e-commerce. We work in it. Our team has active operational experience with Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Walmart. We also run Zeluxa.shop, an online store for natural personal care products, operated from Ontario. This gives us first-hand experience of the same channels, fulfilment questions and customer expectations our clients face.
Once your products are live, visibility drives sales. Our Amazon Ads Management service runs Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns on Amazon.ca and Amazon.com.
Who does the work
Afshin Vafadar, Founder & Managing Partner and Certified Management Consultant (CMC, ICMCI), advises on each project and sets its direction. Zeluxa’s in-house team does the work, carefully and patiently, so that the most effective plans and campaigns are the ones that run. We are headquartered in Richmond Hill (Greater Toronto Area), Ontario, Canada, with offices in Austin, Texas, and Istanbul (Maltepe), Türkiye.
How pricing works
There is no set tariff. The quote depends on your product, the scope of the work and your goals. Send us your request and details through our contact form, and we will reply with a written proposal within a few days.
